In lieu of a 2016 conference, the congregation has chosen to focus its efforts on Flood relief for those victims of the South Carolina Flood (October 2015). We will keep you posted of future conferences.
On April 17 and 18, 2015, we hosted Pastors Jordan Cooper and Eric Phillips for our "Imago Dei: Fall and Restoration" conference! The speakers presented on the nature of the fall and how our righteousness is restored, seen through the lens of Scripture, the Lutheran Confessions, and the Church Fathers.
Rev. Jordan Cooper is pastor of Faith Lutheran Church in Watseka, Illinois. He is the author of the books The Righteousness of One: An Evaluation of Early Patristic Soteriology in the Light of the New Perspective on Paul and Christification: A Lutheran Approach to Theosis. He is also editor of the American Lutheran Theological Journal and Just and Sinner Publications. He hosts the weekly podcast Just and Sinner, and his website is justandsinner.com.
Rev. Dr. Eric Phillips is pastor of Concordia Lutheran Church in Nashville, Tennessee. He has taught as an adjunct professor at two colleges near Washington, DC, and at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne. He also is a contributor to justandsinner.com, and his sermons can be found on the YouTube Channel "Concordia Lutheran Nashville."
